Mont Ventoux under bureaucratic threat

Mont VentouxThis highest mountain of Provence, worldwide famous for the Tour de France, has been reforested by the French government since the 1850s. Now, under the leadership of the E.U., and national and local French bureaucracies, the National Forest Service is in charge of burning schrub vegetation creeping up on the stony summit in order to protect the bare landscape. Moreover the same bureaucrats favor the expension of the wolf population which jeopardizes sheep grazing… subsidized by the taxpayer. True….”Ecology is paved with green bricks”
